Should You Go With A Basket of Candy or A Basket of Flowers?

July 16th, 2009

One of the most versatile gifts you can give is a gift basket. If you personalize it, it might be an unbelievable and unforgettable present. Break away from the stereotype of what a gift basket entails.

A lot of you might imagine a gift basket is not proper for your 9 year old son, or perhaps your sports-obsessed brother. Yet when you make the gift basket you might make it anything you want. For instance the basket part does not have to be a traditional wicker basket. The basket can be a football helment over turned to support the other gifts, like a rolled up jersey or tickets to a game or some favorite snacks and a t-shirt. Or perhaps the basket might be a toy truck stuffed with other smaller play toys.

Don’t insulate your gift-giving to only providing gift baskets to particular individuals, whether you choose gift basket for women or basket presents for your old grandpa.

One of the reasons it is fun to get a gift basket is because of the diversity of items in that basket. The gifts in the container are often times set on a specific subject that fits the individual receiving the gift and occasionally it is designed for the occasion as well. Are candy gifts most proper for the occasion or does the person truly love cheese and crackers?

But when you are producing a basket you can do whatsoever you want. If you understand the individual really well you may give a range of particulars that have no association or motif, but that have a purpose to the two of you.

Many people, young or old, male and female, have a sweet tooth, so don’t forget to consider gift basket with chocolate. But don’t force such confections on everyone, either!

For the gardener in your life you can give a pleasant watering can as the basket and occupy it with herb, vegetable or flower seeds you know he or she will enjoy. You may also add some horticulture mitts, small gardening instruments and perhaps even a starter plant or flower. Individualize it by adding particular things you’re sure he or she will love.

Just invest a little effort into the gift basket and the individual who will be getting it. Be certain you are aware of any dietary limitations including food allergies or any particular tastes.
